1 cup margarine
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Mix first 3 ingredients, then add the rest. Spoon onto cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes. Let cool.

For spider legs, cut slivers of orange rind and dip in red food coloring. USING GLOVES, remove and let dry. Use your favorite jelly for the spider body and bits of chocolate for eyes.
